Description
The seeds are used as demulcent, diuretic, expectorant and tonic. Useful in cough and bronchitis. Also removes fat from the arteries, keeping the cholesterol in low levels. The bean produces a compound called L-dopa (up to 8%). It corrects the imbalance in the brain between dopamine and acetylcholine. The drug companies regularly prescribe L-dopa for Parkinson’s Disease.
Recommended Dosage: 3 to 5 g powder of seeds.
