Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose accompanied by excessive mucus discharge, without infection.

Persons most commonly affected: All age groups and both sexes.

Organ or part of body involved: Nose
Symptoms and indications: Excessive amount of mucus, the nose becomes blocked and itches maddeningly. Bright light becomes a source of irritation and there may be a mild headache, or pain over the sinuses.
